Technical Account Manager

Our client is a highly successful company with dual site manufacturing in the UK and Ireland. They are at the leading edge of delivering innovation and product solutions to the Retail and Food Service markets and due to continued expansion are currently looking to recruit two Technical Account Managers, for Retail and Food Service.

Technical Account Manager (s)

 Role Summary (a comprehensive description is available on request):

Reporting to the Group Technical Manager the main purpose of this role is to manage customer and technical expectations effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To support NPD to ensure compliant ingredient sourcing and provenance for individual customers;
  • To act as the technical lead in liaising with suppliers to ensure all products are produced in line with quality, safety and legislation requirements;
  • To manage adherence of our business to customer technical requirements;
  • To manage customer technical updates/requirements internally;
  • To manage NPD OLSSF and Customer Specification Uploads with Specifications Team;
  • To manage adherence to approved customer specifications;
  • To manage customer KPI Monitoring/Reporting/Improvement Programs
  • To conduct internal Benchmarking/Continuous Improvement;
  • To conduct customer facing benchmarking sessions and management;
  • To manage customer visits with site and customer facing;
  • To be proactive in a multi-tiered communication strategy in dialogue with the customers technical team;
  • Any other duties as required by management.

Essential Criteria:

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role working successfully with other departments
  • Experience with Technical Systems and Standards and Management within Food Manufacturing.
  • Third level qualification in a related discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with people (internal and external) across all levels
  • High level of computer literacy to include Microsoft Excel, Word and Internet
  • Methodical approach, be highly organized with good prioritization skills, the ability to work to short deadlines and attention to detail.
