Senior R&D Project Manager

This is a senior project management role working across multidisciplinary teams with responsibility for all aspects of project management to ensure on time delivery of complex cross functional projects in line with the project budgets.


The projects will include internal R&D, Process Optimisation and NPI projects in additional to external customer/supplier facing projects.


Overall responsibility for the project management of R&D projects to include key strategic projects complex cross site, multi-disciplinary team projects. Projects may be internal, cross functional, multi-site or external customer/supplier facing.


Who will this senior suit?

  • Level 6 Qualification (in Management or related discipline preferred) or equivalent
  • PMP certification or equivalent (i.e. PRINCE2) desired.
  • Minimum of 7 years demonstrated project management experience in at least one discipline (Finance, Procurement, IS, R&D, Operations, etc.) preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in the Project Management and Delivery of complex projects
  • across multi-site, multi-functional teams
  • Strong project / programme management skills including use of an industry accepted planning tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Project Management of R&D/Product Development Projects
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral, and meeting skills)
  • Experience of a project delivery within an end-to-end product development lifecycle for New Product Introduction
  • Working within a regulated industry under an established Quality Management System
  • Experience of working closely with a manufacturing facility to introduce new products for
  • volume manufacture
  • Knowledge of GAMP, FDA regulations, relevant ISO standards
  • Must be able to analyse and correct complex process and/or system issues of a broad scope using independent judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, collaborative teamwork and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to generate and explain detailed proposals, schedules, financial data, objectives, and other documentation accurately.
