Our client with a HQ in the mid-Ulster area is a leading player within the heavy Engineering Manufacturing sector. They are a long-established and committed to providing excellence in all areas of their operations and encourage the continuous product training and development of staff. Due to continued growth they now wish to appoint a Key Account Manager - Europe.

The Role – Key Account Manager

Based in their mid-Ulster HQ the successful candidate will:

  • Work with the Sales Manager to devise sales strategy to include new sales prospects, new business segments and dealer development

  • Manage sales orders from key accounts including all paperwork

  •  Manage the Company’s outlined Key Accounts to ensure they meet yearly sales targets. 

  •    Set up regular meetings with companies - travelling to Europe circa 1 week per month 

  •   Build and maintain strategic business partnerships

  •  Deliver market leading customer care 

  •  Provide input from Key Accounts on various marketing materials and attend relevant exhibitions and trade shows, building brand awareness for continued growth of sales with dealers.

  •    Business Development in target regions with a view to expanding the dealer network



The ideal Candidate – Key Account Manager

  • A good standard of education (ideally educated to graduate or equivalent) and  strong customer service/sales experience ideally in a similar sales environment (Engineering / Construction)

  • Exceptionally well-developed interpersonal skills with a friendly yet professional manner

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including excellent negotiation and influencing skills

  • Evidence of effective organisational, planning and time management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to independently achieve results

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, email and the internet

  • Able to work flexibly to ensure deadlines and targets are met

  • Willing to travel to meet the requirements of this key position

  • Fluency in another language would be highly desirable (French and German preferred)

  • Valid driving licence
