Our client, are a distributor of a specialised product. Based in L'Derry they have an excellent opportunity for a General Manager to join the growing team.

General Manager

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the business.

Key objectives and responsibilities include:

  • People management including workforce planning, recruitment, selection, staff reviews and discipline
  • Management of the sales team
  • Oversee workshop and administration team
  • Develop staff, setting objectives and monitoring performance against these objectives & manage staff training and development
  • Manage new product stock levels
  • Assist in maintaining strong customer relations
  • Ensure all legal health and safety requirements are met
  • Monitor operational overheads against targets
  • Develop good working relationship with key suppliers and monitor supplier performance
  • Maintain excellent customer satisfaction levels

    The ideal candidate:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience gained at a management level in a similar role
  • A strong work ethic and trustworthy
  • Strong leadership and excellent people management skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a tenacity to get to the root cause of operational issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills
