Our client with a HQ in the mid-Ulster area is a leading player within the heavy Engineering Manufacturing sector. They are a long-established and committed to providing excellence in all areas of their operations and encourage the continuous training and development of staff. Due to continued growth they now wish to appoint a GB Area Sales Manager.

The Role – GB Area Sales Manager

Ideally based in their mid-Ulster HQ the successful candidate will:

 

·         Work with the Sales Manager to devise sales strategy to include new sales prospects, new business segments and dealer development

·         Devise and agree the action plans to develop sales region

·         Follow up new enquiries resulting from marketing activities

·         Arranging appointments with customers including pre-arranged appointments and regular relationship development

·         Liaise with customers to ensure completion of sales documentation

·         Contribute to the development of new product opportunities

·         Prepare of weekly reports detailing sales activity to include current deals, business development and territory activity

·         Contribute to monthly sales meetings detailing current sales activity, new business development and territory updates

·         Provide input to various marketing materials and attend relevant exhibitions and trade shows

·         Build brand awareness and develop sales techniques for the purpose of securing new business

·         Liaise effectively with the Sales and Marketing Coordinators, production team and other internal functions as required

 

The ideal Candidate – GB Area Sales Manager

 

·         A good standard of education (‘A’ level or equivalent) and 5 years work experience in a similar sales environment (Engineering / Construction)

·         Exceptionally well-developed interpersonal skills with a friendly yet professional manner

·         Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including excellent negotiation and influencing skills

·         Evidence of effective organisational, planning and time management skills

·         Demonstrated ability to independently achieve results

·         Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, email and the internet

·         Able to work flexibly to ensure deadlines and targets are met

·         Willing to travel to meet the requirements of this key position

·         Valid driving licence
