Ecommerce Manager

Our client, Kukoon Rugs is an award winning, online and instore retailer based in Newry. They ship over 150,000 rugs globally every year through multiple channels. This is a key appointment and as the successful Ecommerce Manager you will support the expansion of the business by developing and managing the online sales strategy.

Your new role in summary (full spec on request):

  • Develop and manage the sales strategy for several online channels (marketplace sites and our own magento based website) with the objective of increasing revenue and profitability by building sustainable growth orientated sales channels
  • Manage a team of people to develop these channels in line with the sales strategy by setting targets, offering continuous feedback on performance and training to develop skills in e-commerce. A key part of this role is building an enthused department.
  • Continuously look for new sales channels
  • KPI reporting to ensure effective management of sales strategy to directors
  • Collaborate with directors to set budgets for the management of the ecommerce sales strategy
  • Develop and manage international sales growth strategy
  • Keep up-to-date with market trends in relation to product, pricing, sales channel performance in the marketplace as a whole
  • Work alongside in-house photographer and marketing department
  • Feedback to our design and purchasing team information in relation to sales performance and products missing from our portfolio that would likely generate sales


The ideal Candidate:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a role managing ecommerce sales channels or managing a team of people who specialise ecommerce sales
  • Experience of online sales channels is essential and must include non-website marketplaces
  • A results driven attitude with ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Excellent people management skills with the desire to build a results oriented, enthused and happy team
  • The ability to network and develop strong working relationships
