Supply Chain Manager

Our client is a market leader in their sector where their customers always come first.  As part of strategic growth plans they now wish to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to be based in Mid Ulster.


Supply Chain Manager


The role:

  • Develop strategies that drive cost reduction in line with key stakeholder demands
  • Responsible for developing a robust supply base capable of delivering business goals and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Develop and manage Long Term Agreements
  • Ensuring quality and delivery expectations are consistently attained from suppliers and corrective actions taken as necessary.
  • Responsible for group purchasing and parts
  • Integration of IT systems
  • Ensure current stock-holding policies are meeting operational and financial department objectives
  • Manage staff within the purchasing and stores team



The ideal candidate:

  • A third level qualification in a business, finance, supply chain or related discipline.
  • 5 plus years’ experience in a similar role with evidence of driving supply chain cost reduction initiatives
  • Excellent buying experience, ideally in an engineering/ construction or similar industry
  • Strong people management skills with experience of leading a team
  • Strong financial management experience
  • Specialised supply chain or purchasing qualifications are highly advantageous
  • Experience working in a multi – site company would be highly advantageous
  • Strong IT skills
