Quality Engineer

Our client is a global engineering manufacturer based in Mid Ulster. Due to continued success they now wish to appoint a Quality Engineer to maintain and further develop quality standards across the company.

Quality Engineer

The Role in brief (detailed spec available on request):

  • Lead the company in promoting and implementing high quality standards and systems throughout the entire business
  • Implement systems to gain and maintain ISO accreditations
  • Undertake quality inspections to identify weaknesses in any part of the production processes and develop procedures to achieve the objective of ‘first time right’
  • Conduct root cause analysis in a timely manner and implement recorded corrective actions as a proactive approach to continual improvement
  • Provide comprehensive training to the workforce to achieve high levels of quality performance
  • Be fully onboard with the company’s continuous improvement ethos and take the lead with lean/CI projects to raise the quality standards

The ideal candidate:

  • A degree qualification in a related engineering/applied science discipline
  • Alternatively, you may have at least 3 years’ relevant working experience in quality control and improvement
  • Experience gained in a manufacturing setting with excellent knowledge of Quality Planning, Control and Improvement
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Full clean driving licence (if successful you must insure your vehicle for business use)
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the business
