Field Sales Manager

Our client is a multi-award winning FMCG company that is currently market leader in the domestic market with high volume sales to ROI, GB and other Export markets. They have a position for a Field Sales Manager.


Field Sales Manager (NI & ROI) – Maternity


To effectively manage and develop the companies brands within independent retailers and select multiple accounts.


The Role:

  • Develop and agree a targeted sales strategy to maximise business opportunities within YJR ROI and NI Tier 2 marker
  • Focus on New Business Development
  • Devise and implement comprehensive Account Plans and carry out regular business reviews with each individual key account
  • Effectively manage, motivate & develop the Company Van Sales & Merchandising Teams
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity in the UK & Irish market and identify changes in customer and consumer buying patterns and recognise emerging trends in the target market
  • Maximise promotional activity & seasonal ranges


The ideal candidate:

  • Must have a minimum of three years proven sales experience within the FMCG sector and a proven track record of achievement in growing business and capitalising on business opportunities
  • Excellent knowledge of the NI/ROI grocery sector
  • Proven experience of identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels and provide a quality customer orientated approach
  • Commercial and financial Acumen with demonstrable knowledge of the sales process
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, planning, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Proven results oriented individual with ability to work on own initiative
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as the ability to lead
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK & Ireland with a flexible approach to working hours
  • Hold a full current driving license
