Estimator / Quantity Surveyor CMA1405

Estimator / Quantity Surveyor  

Key Responsibilities (Detailed spec available on request) – Estimator / Quantity Surveyor 

Deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face

Respond promptly to customer enquiries 

Handle and resolve customer complaints 

Prepare bill of materials and works orders for joinery and ironmongery components

Initiate required action for response to customer service requests for order changes, including the maintenance of order/customer information files and communicates changes to the appropriate people/departments

Communicate with supplies and sub-contractors to ensure delivery deadlines are met and accuracy maintained 

 As part of the ongoing customer service communications, identify and act upon sales opportunities/leads with existing customers

Provide customer service management with relevant information and data for inclusion in scheduled and special reports

Participate and provide expertise as a member of the customer services team, to develop and recommend changes to existing methods and systems to increase accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness of the customer services department as a whole.

 

The ideal candidate - Estimator / Quantity Surveyor 

 

• At least 3 years’ experience in an estimating / quantity surveying

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Strong customer focus with a flexible and adaptable approach

• Ability to work as a member of a team

• Experience in a construction / building services / building trades / ironmongery  

• Experience in relevant computer systems eg. CRM, Sage

• Experience in manufacturing environment preferable

• Telephone sales experience preferable
