Business Development Manager

Our client is an international FMCG retailer. They now wish to recruit a Lead Business Development Manager to grow business within Northern Ireland through new stores and store conversions.

Business Development Manager (Northern Ireland)

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Full Driving Licence
  • 5 years sales and/or business development experience  
  • The ability to demonstrate and evidence a strong track record in sales and the securing of new business
  • Sound knowledge of retail sector and key potential customers
  • Business Planning – ability to develop and maintain plans with business building potential
  • Ability to understand customer needs
  • Building relationships - The ability to develop profitable long-term relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
  • Selling - Ability to match the specific benefits of a Musgrave solution to the needs of the customer
  • Negotiation – The ability to reach mutually acceptable agreements by trading of similar value
  • Financial awareness - Ability to make commercial decisions based upon understanding and interpretation of financial information
  • Ability to create and lead a winning team
  • The ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team
  • The ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks
  • Resilient and determined to succeed
  • Ability to overcome obstacles to reach desired outcome through tenacity
  • Innovation in challenging circumstances
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
