Business Development Executive 1425

Our client is a subsidiary of a major Plc. with operations throughout the UK and Ireland. They are a major supplier to builders, commercial operations and the general public. As a result of continuing growth they wish to appoint a Business Development Manager.

Business Development Manager

The role – Business Development Manager:

  • To effectively increase sales volumes of building materials, timber, hardware and ironmongery to existing customers and, on an ongoing basis, identify prospective customers for development
  • Ensure sales are increased in line with Group sales strategies
  • Ensure existing customer base is fully aware of product range and services
  • Maintain close contact with other branches

The person – Business Development :

  • Ideally a qualification in building, construction or related area
  • Excellent knowledge of building materials, timber, hardware & ironmongery
  • Excellent knowledge of builders and contractors and activity within this sector
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and communication skills
  • Good IT skills (MS Office)
  • Sound educational achievements, numerate and literate
  • Full driving license
